Bromm inherited a celebrated forge and a feud older than its deepest furnace. Instead of crafting the crown both clans demanded, he made a crystal shield from their rival metals and used it to hold a collapsing bridge while both sides escaped. He now travels as a thane without a throne, repairing the promises that fortresses cannot protect.
